Transmitting the drive power directly to the rotary axes without using gears eliminates backlash. And Mori Seiki makes them in-house, so if they ever do break down, we can fix them quickly, significantly reducing recovery time.
With 5 axis and 5 side machining, complex work pieces can be produced in just one setting. This vertical mill is quite impressive with excellent table construction, and highly dynamic and rigid direct drives at the B and C axis with huge rotational range for machining complex angles and dimensions.
