Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a CNC Operator Level II (Lathe), where your proficiency in operating CNC machinery will be instrumental in driving our manufacturing processes forward. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes, ensuring precision, and maintaining quality standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adhere to AS9100 quality assurance standards, actively participating in MRBs, NCRs, and CAPAs for scrap issues with root cause analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the Master Scheduler to execute machining tasks per job traveler routing instructions and interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Proactively alert the lead to any process issues and verify material conformity with router specifications.
- Perform deburring tasks and maintain coolant and oil levels, utilizing anti-foam to prevent coolant foaming.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, completing shift-end tasks promptly and alerting the supervisor upon order completion.
- Identify potential improvements and undertake other assigned duties.
- Operate CNC machinery, including TURN T & TM, TURN LT, as well as automation operations.
- Conduct in-process inspections using a variety of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring all data is accurately recorded in the company’s quality inspection database.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a team setting.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and GD&T.
- Skilled in utilizing a wide range of metrology inspection tools for precise measurements of CNC machined parts.
- Experienced in shop math, blueprint reading, and interpreting customer requirements and metals specifications.
- Previous experience operating up CNC Machines such as Mori Seki, Okuma, DN Solutions is preferred.
- JobBoss2 and High QA systems, with Keyence and Starrett comparator experience preferred.
- Experience in Mori Seki and/or Okuma CNC Machines is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Requires NTMA certified machinist credential OR 2 years’ experience as a machinist in a machine shop environment.
- Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must have good vision.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
