Charting Senga Engineering’s path to growth and excellence since 1984

Pushing the Boundaries of CNC Innovation

Owner, President, and CEO Roy Jones has led Senga Engineering’s growth from its early days as a local machine shop to a precision CNC manufacturer that pushes the boundaries of innovation and delivers effortless customer experiences.

The Senga Story

Roy purchased Senga Engineering in 1986, when it had five employees and a 2,500 sq. ft. building. After a few years, he bought an Okuma lathe and quickly saw the value in having quality-built CNC machine tools.

Roy and his team redesigned the shop around the latest equipment available from the best-regarded brands, a standard that Senga still actively maintains. Today, Senga proudly offers more than 40 CNC milling and turning centers in more than 32,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.

Senga’s commitment to overcoming challenges and making things happen starts at the top. Roy’s passion for the possibilities of CNC manufacturing technology and customer solutions has led to many long-standing relationships with leading public and private organizations over more than 40 years.

Roy’s education and experience includes serving in the armed forces, a BA in Economics, and more than 60 years of experience in operations and finance in communication equipment for the military, aerospace, and industrial markets.

Through Senga, Roy also supports local schools to develop the next generation of engineers, technicians, and machinists, and contributes to community organizations that assist the local homeless population.

Outside of working hours you may find Roy sailing, traveling, or at home in Corona Del Mar with Gayle, his wife of 62 years and counting.
